Originally from Minnesota, Stacie and Joan moved to Surprise, Arizona in 2001 when Surprise was still in its infancy with less than 50,000 residents. They have seen numerous neighborhoods develop where you had to stand in line to get a number to maybe be chosen to get a lot as they were only releasing 1-2 lots per week in the early 2000s. They have seen freeways built (101, 202, 303), growth from 3 to 32 elementary schools, 3 high schools added, stores and entertainment pop up; and growth continues as the population of Surprise now exceeds 150,000. As a neighboring community to Luke Air Force Base, they have worked with many military families and understand what it is like for people to relocate in the West Valley. They also work with many winter visitors who come to rent for a few years and realize that purchasing is an investment that will benefit them in the long run. They are involved in the community, from Girl Scouts to community and city events, even volunteering at the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals spring training baseball stadium. They partner with a variety of local small businesses to help get the word out about these venues, from creating videos for promotion to partnering with them on other marketing campaigns. With all the growth in Surprise and the West Valley, they have kept a pulse on the history of the city and have participated in current events, staying up to date with the community.

After 20 years in the Valley, a summer vacation turned into a permanent residency of the cool pines of Forest Lakes, Arizona. Knowing that in order to represent clients with top notch service and education, the duo joined the Central Association of REALTORS® (CAAR) board as well as the White Mountain Association of REALTORS® (WMAR) up North and have learned all about what it takes to live there. Many cabins are extremely remote, and they have traveled most of the primitive roads to access these properties for their clients. Since real estate in Northern Arizona is the complete opposite of the real estate in the Valley of the sun, they find it extremely important to research properties as they come on the market.

Not only do they do their due diligence for their buyers, but for their sellers as well. They even go as far as holding other agents’ open houses in the same neighborhood as a potential listing in order to attract a pool of potential buyers for that seller’s property. Their marketing is unique as they incorporate social media as a resource to promote a property for sale as well as working with other agents in their brokerage to get the listing sold quickly.
